Rescue at the Sea

Today’s worship centered on the powerful story of the Israelites crossing the Red Sea – a moment of incredible liberation from slavery in Egypt. We explored how trauma can hold us back, tempting us to return to familiar but unjust and harmful ways/systems, and emphasized God's unwavering presence and guidance as we step into the unknown together. Ultimately, this ancient narrative serves as an enduring call to courageously reimagine our world and embrace a future defined by freedom and love.

Reflection Questions for This Week:

  1. Where in your life do you find yourself clinging to "the known" even when it's not serving you well?
  2. How can we, as a community, actively support one another in facing our fears and stepping into new possibilities?
  3. In what ways can we ensure that the solutions we create for healing and justice don’t inadvertently perpetuate the very systems we are trying to dismantle?
