Prelude All Who Are Thirsty Rejuvenate
Call to Worship (enfleshed)
LEADER: From the depths of the sea to the tops of the highest mountains,
ALL: the wonder of God’s Creative Wisdom surrounds us!
LEADER: All the birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and the creatures that cover the land...
ALL: Through creation, the imagination of God takes on flesh.
LEADER: The same hand of God that has shaped the majesty of all the earth,
ALL: has brought us into being,
LEADER: and takes delight in us,
ALL: and cries out for our attention.
LEADER: How magnificent is the love of God!
Opening Prayer (enfleshed)
ALL: Holy Wisdom, when our fear of doing something wrong keeps us stagnant, move with us courageously. Guide us towards the next right step. Plot with us. Strategize with us. Organize with us towards liberation. Reveal to us what work is ours to do. Practice patience with us. Engage in direct action with us. Make art with us. Rest with us. Heal with us. Amen.
*Opening Song Let All Things Now Living TFWS 2008
1. Let all things now living
a song of thanksgiving
to God the Creator
triumphantly raise,
who fashioned and made us,
protected and stayed us,
who guides us and leads
to the end of our days.
God’s banners fly o’er us;
God’s light goes before us,
a pillar of fire
shining forth in the night,
till shadows have vanished
and darkness is banished,
as forward we travel
from light into light.
2. The law God enforces,
the stars in their courses
and sun in its orbit
obediently shine;
the hills and the mountains,
the rivers and fountains,
the deeps of the ocean
proclaim the Divine.
We, too, should be voicing
our love and rejoicing;
with glad adoration
a song let us raise,
till all things now living
unite in thanksgiving:
To God in the highest
hosanna and praise!

RESPONDING
*Sermon Song Beautiful Mother (tune of Fairest Lord Jesus) (words on screen)
Beautiful Mother,
Birther and Creator,
Spirit, who stirs every living thing
You I will honour, Founder, Sustainer –
You make my soul rise up and sing.
Beauteous the meadows
And the verdant woodlands,
robed in the vestments of turning years,
You’re in the flowers, soil, streams,
and birdsong,
there, your embrace relieves my fears.
Glorious the sunshine and the silver moonlight,
spiraling stars sing your boundless praise,
You are the splendour of all the galaxies,
nurturing darkness is your face.
Beautiful Mother,
Birther and Creator,
Daughter and Sister, Comfort, Friend,
glory and honour, praise, adoration
be yours forever, without end.
Prayers of the People
Leader: Source of all Wisdom, ALL: We lift our prayers to you.
The Lord’s Prayer (Spoken)
All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

*Offering Response Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow (UMH 94)
*Prayer of Dedication (enfleshed)
ALL: Cosmic Love, we pray that our gathered resources and gifts may be used wisely. That we may be bold enough to have a disposition not of stinginess, but of abundance. That we may be humble enough to allow resources to flow without our egos causing roadblocks. That all may receive what they need in the web of mutuality. Amen.

*Closing Song Mothering God You Gave Me Birth TFWS 2050
1. Mothering God,
you gave me birth
in the bright
morning of the world.
Creator,
source of every breath,
you are my rain,
my wind, my sun.
2. Mothering Christ,
you took my form,
offering me
your food of light,
grain of life,
and grape of love,
your very body
for my peace.
3. Mothering Spirit,
nurt’ring one,
in arms of patience
hold me close,
so that in faith
I root and grow
until I flow’r,
until I know.
